Holiday Goodness from alice.com
I can’t EVEN count the number of “so and so company is wishing you a happy holiday” emails I’ve received over the past few weeks. I’ve been deleting most of them *gasp*.
BUT…
I totally heart this illustration in alice.com‘s holiday email:
Are you using alice yet? You should. I found out about Alice because my friend Rebecca does their PR. And since Rebecca is awesome I decided to check it out. That was over a year ago and I’m still a big fan.
In case you don’t know what alice is, their tagline is “Everyone needs an alice”.
Let’s face it; you can probably think of a thousand things you’d rather do than drive to the store again and again for toilet paper, toothpaste, trash bags and the dozens of other home essentials that keep your home running. We can too. That’s why we started Alice.
The Internet has changed the way we shop for things like books, clothing, shoes and electronics. We buy online for the convenience and the power we have to get product reviews, choose brands, see price comparisons, and make better choices.
But when it comes to home essentials, we still trudge off to the store, load up the cart, and haul a trunk-load of stuff out the parking lot. Why? Because no one has come up with an efficient, cost-effective way to buy these goods online. Until now.
Last night (from my iPhone) I placed a very excited order of paper towels, new toothbrushes (we’ve been kinda sickly), laundry detergent, and toothpaste. These are all things I HATE buying at the grocery store, because inevitably I will forget the one mundane thing I went to the store for.
This was post originally intended to share my love and all things pretty and apparently turned into a PSA for alice*.
*I have yet to investigate how the blogging rules of using affiliate links and such work, so I’ll just tell ya that’s my “refer a friend to alice” link. If you using my link you’ll get a $10 credit (for a new account) once you spend $50 and I’ll get some monies in my alice bank which will probably go towards trashbag purchases**.
**and wow that makes me officially old.
